Strategy Bender ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Strategy Bender platform at strategybender.cloud. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our algorithmic trading backtesting and strategy building services.

By using Strategy Bender, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2.1 Account Information

When you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive and store your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We may also collect a contact phone number if you choose to provide one.

2.2 Usage Data

We collect data about how you interact with our platform, including backtests you run, strategies you create, instruments you trade, and configuration parameters you select. This data is used to provide and improve the service.

2.3 Broker Connection Data

If you connect a broker account (e.g., Dhan, Zerodha), we store your broker API tokens securely to facilitate paper trading and live trading features. We do not store your broker login credentials. Tokens are encrypted at rest.

2.4 Technical Data

We automatically collect standard technical data including IP addresses, browser type, device information, and access timestamps for security and analytics purposes.

• Facilitate broker connections for paper and live trading
• Send notifications about backtest completions and system updates
• Improve platform performance and user experience

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Encrypted storage for sensitive data (broker tokens, API keys)
• HTTP-only secure cookies for session management
• Regular security audits and access controls

Backtest results, trade logs, and strategy configurations are stored in MongoDB Atlas with encryption at rest enabled.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

• With your explicit consent (e.g., sharing a strategy with another user)
• With broker APIs to execute trading operations you initiate
• To comply with legal obligations or valid legal processes
• To protect the rights, safety, or property of Strategy Bender or its users

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Backtest history and strategy configurations are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data and account
• Export your backtest history and strategy data
• Revoke broker connections at any time

We use HTTP-only secure cookies exclusively for session authentication. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. No cookie consent banner is needed as our cookies are strictly necessary for the service to function.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
